Somos® Taurus

Expand your capabilities
By using Somos® Taurus to print your parts, you get the added value of excellent surface quality and isotropy, enabling reduced job times for highly detailed parts with more uniform performance. Somos® Taurus brings the combination of thermal and mechanical performance that until now has only been achieved using thermoplastic 3D printing techniques such as FDM and SLS. Parts printed with this material are easy to clean and finish. The higher heat deflection temperature of this material increases the number of applications for the part producer and user. The darker colour of Somos® Taurus also gives an added richness to your parts to minimise part finishing and painting, making it a great choice for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Somos® Element

Antimony-free for investment casting
Somos® Element is a new antimony-free stereolithography material that has been specifically created to improve the repeatability and quality of 3D printed casting patterns. Patterns created with Somos® Element have strong green strength, are dimensionally stable during storage and leave a minimal amount of ash residue after burnout. Any residue that is left behind is easily removed, leaving a perfectly clean void in the ceramic mould that translates into less mould prep and lower rates of rework saving customers time and money.

Somos® EvoLVe 128

Durability with fast processing 
Somos® EvoLVe 128 is a durable stereolithography material that produces accurate, highly detailed parts and has been designed for easy finishing. Somos® PerFORM Reflect

Somos PerFORM Reflect utilizes patented new technology that allows for reducing and even eliminating much of the finishing work required with traditional materials.

Somos PerFORM Reflect produces strong, stiff, high-temperature resistant composite parts that are ideal for wind tunnel testing. Somos® NeXt

The best of both worlds
Somos® NeXt helps you take product design to truly new heights, with a look and feel almost indistinguishable from finished traditional thermoplastics but with a toughness, durability and accuracy not traditionally seen in SLA materials. By using this unique SLA material, our customers produce a range of functional testing applications and low-volume prototypes that save significant amounts of time, money and materials. Somos® NeXt helps our customers produce tougher prototype parts than those made with standard SL resins. Our solution is especially ideal for functional end-use performance prototypes including snap-fit designs, impellers, duct work, connectors and electronic covers, automotive housings and dashboard assemblies, packaging and sporting goods – including lacrosse sticks (see below). Somos® Protogen Series

Somos® ProtoGen is a liquid, ABS-like, photopolymer that produces accurate parts ideal for general purpose applications. ProtoGen resins are the first stereolithography resins to demonstrate different material properties based on machine exposure control. Based on Somos Oxetane chemistry, ProtoGen offers superior chemical resistance, a wide processing latitude and excellent tolerance to a broad range of temperatures and humidities, both during and after build.

This high-temperature resistant, ABS-like photopolymer is used in solid imaging processes, like stereolithography, to build three- dimensional parts. Somos® NeXt LV Grey

Somos® NeXt LV Grey creates tough, ABS-like parts with a high modulus while maintaining a low viscosity for effortless cleaning. Somos® NeXt LV Grey has good water resistance and thermal properties. This third generation Somos® high impact material focuses on creating quality resins that can produce tough, complex parts.

Somos® BioClear produces clear, strong, tough and water-resistant parts. This product is the first in the Somos® BioLine portfolio for medical applications and is ISO 10993-5, ISO 10993-10 and USP VI certified.

Somos® BioClear is designed for medical applications that are non-implant and have limited contact with the body, such as dental drill guides and device prototyping.
